Chinese Valentine

It’s almost that time of the year again. No, i’m not referring to Valentine’s Day, but i’m talking about Chinese New Year. Coincidentally, both day fall on the same day this year – it’s February 14 if you haven’t know it yet. Time to keep your green study table and deck out red color ones. Well, both occasions have red-ness in them so both should be complementary.
Like previous years, nothing would be done for Valentine’s Day, and since it’s Chinese New Year day as well this year, we decided to do something different for Valentine’s Day – which is to give angpow on Valentine’s Day. Well, you can try them as well this year, since i can’t trademark it. You don’t have to be married to give angpow (hehe) – if the recipient is me.

Arranged marriage – no?

The topic of arranged marriage came up again these days and i kept hearing about it – from the people who are with it, to the people who are against it and even from the matchmakers themselves. I think i used to have the idea that in arranged marriage, you wouldn’t have any say in the choice of your arranged spouse but apparently, that changed in the current times.
To me, there’s nothing wrong with people suiting people up especially if they have been single for some time, or if they have strings of not-so-successful relationships. Of course, those people you are suiting up got to be agreeable with the idea as well – for them to meet new people and maybe eventually get into a relationship.

Sitting & sipping

I have not been doing this for a very long time – sitting at Starbucks, with my notebook, facing my blog while watching passerby walking and doing their stuffs. Maybe I should do more of this, to at least trigger my mind in writing stuffs. I know i have not been writing much lately – well, not at all for last month but just updates from my tweets.
When i stopped writing, i somehow missed something and i’ll come back to write for a while. Then i’ll stop again. I haven’t been able to really consistently write on weekly basis as of now. When i have to feel, i’ll write. When i’m not, i’ll stop for a long time. Maybe i’ll start writing again.
