Recently, there’s been quite a hoo-haa on this quite a sensitive issue : Datukship. It seems that there’s too many Datuks out there, that there used to be a saying (ok… it was my English teacher) that you can simply take a stone and throw it on a big crowd, and the chances of the stones hitting a Datuk is very high. I believed, this hoo-haa is mostly because, lately, there’s seems to have a lot of evil Datuks : Datuks that are corrupted, Datuks that are Ah Longs etc. And again, it seems that the rulers of states (lately Melaka & Pahang) giving out the Datukships like they are giving angpows or duit raya….
