Confession Part 3

I have another confession, making this first confession of the year :)

As of 10am, January 19th 2005, I AM LEGALLY MARRIED ! :D

Some chronicles on the auspicious day :)
6.45am – woke up, still lazing around
7.00am – removed myself from the bed, took bath
7.15am – get dressed
7.30am – have some Nescafe with my-then GF :)
7.50am – went to fetch our first Saksi, my then-GF's brother
8.00am – left Penang for Sg Petani, where the registration of marriage would take place
8.40am – reached Sg Petani, fetched our second Saksi – my sister
9.05am – reached the Registration Dept office, submitted the appointment form, and wait…..
took photos while waiting around, watched cartoon over the dept's TV to kill time
9.15am – the Registration officer called to verify the information given
wait somemore…
9.30am – finally, we were asked to go into the ceremony room
and waiting somemore……took some photos while waiting for the Head Registrar in the ceremony room
9.45am – Head Registrar steps in, reviewed our information, and briefed us on this marriage thingy, which goes something like this :
“Kahwin ni, buleh sekali saja noh… tak buleh 2-3 kali…. tak buleh kahwin dengan dia ni kat negeri nih, pas tu pi kahwin dengan minah mana pulak kat negeri lain… kami buleh tahu, tahu tak?? Pas tu, lepaih kahwin ni… kalau ada apa-apa nak batalkan perkahwinan, kena pi mahkamah…”

Then, both of us (me and wifey) took the marriage oath, signed the marriage papers, with both our Saksi looking on and they signed as well. And as of 10am yesterday, we were sworn in as husband and wife, legally.

My feeling now after being a legally-correct husband? Well…. it's not much different than not being one, just probably for now have to get use of referring my wifey as “My wife” instead of “My GF” :)

Nee Shen,
Siam or Chinese? this one, normally is follow the wife wan mar…. so in this case, it should be Chinese-style lah… becos for us Siamese, the ceremony and stuffs are done in the wife's side….. the guy side normally hosts wedding dinner, just like normal Chinese wedding dinner, except we speak Siamese lah… kekeke :P

Gotenks,
planning to have both Chinese (my wife's side) and Siamese (my side) kind of traditional wedding. Just have to see whether the time permits or not.. :) I do have some photos taken during the marriage registration, let me edit and post it up later…
I'll be around during CNY – working :( *sigh* normal working day somemore…

Lynnee,
Thanks! :) This CNY give angpow? mmm… the agreement was only to give angpows after traditional ceremony :) no ceremony = no angpows …. :) kekekeke
