No… not George W. Bush , but it's the bushes along our North-South highway routes.

The 2 pics above was taken during my journey back to Sg Petani after fetching my wife from her hometown in Jitra. This location was not so far from the Alor Setar Selatan toll exit, before reaching Gurun rest area. I did not manage to capture the pics of the cars involved in the accident caused by the thick smoke. Luckily, by the time we past the area, the smoke was not that thick anymore.
From what I can gather, the thick smoke was caused by the farmers burning the haystack, and with really big wind, the smoke was going towards the highway side. The authorities should really do something about this

These pics were taken on Penang Bridge, same day, at about 4pm. From far, it really does look like the Marine Police jetty was burning, but when we approached the area, it was the bushes around that area that's burning.
How come there's still open burning when we are supposed to not pollute the air?
*note*
Don't worry. All the pics were taken by my wife
I still have my sense of safety
