My God… another example of Malaysia, errr.. Kancil Boleh. I wonder if the car insurance company is going to insure this kind of accident. If I owned a car insurance agency, i'll be sure to put in a clause to prevent this kind of accident from insurance claimable - let them know safety should come first!!!
From The Star Online:
Seven in family die in road crash
KOTA KINABALU: Ibrahim Patukaya, 39, had packed nine of his family members and relatives into his Perodua Kancil to drive some 60km to his Lahad Datu house after a wedding reception on Sunday.
But tragedy struck at the 15th kilometre of the Kunak-Lahad Datu road at 8.45pm. A van, which was travelling in the opposite direction, burst a tyre and swerved into the path of the Kancil.
The crash killed seven of those in the Kancil and resulted in injuries to three others. The van driver was in critical condition, and two of his passengers were injured.
“The accident occurred on a straight stretch of road which was unlighted,” state traffic chief Supt Abdul Karim Abu Bakar said.
Those killed on the spot were the Kancil's driver Ibrahim, his wife Aida Ismail, 38 and their daughter Norshiha Ibrahim, 11; Ibrahim’s cousin Noraini Hashim, 35, and her daughters Norhalisa, 14 months, and Norhailina, four.
Another relative, Mohd Rafaee Ado, 13, died at the Tawau General Hospital at about 4am.
*sic* How can the driver cramp NINE passenger into his puny little Kancil car? My Wira car can hardly fit 6 comfortably, but a Kancil with NINE passenger? Another Boleh moment from us Malaysians…. *sigh*

1Hmm, have you tried putting in 8 heavy weight people, average about 80-90kg per person. The kancil can only move in GEAR 1!
