I was watching Malaysian Idol (Spectaculars 2) with my wife last Friday when I came across a very familiar piece of advertisement, with a familiar object prancing around - Chickadees is back!!!
Brings childhood memories back instantly - Chickadees was simply one of the best snack that we can get back then. And it has been gone for as long as I can remember - can't remember the reason, must be some ingredient ban or stuffs like that. So naturally, my wife and myself determined that we must go and grab the precious Chickadees and re-live our childhood So, off we went hunting high and low for Chickadees - went to Tesco the next morning to check out the snacks section, but no Chickadees there. Went to Gurney Plaza's Cold Storage - still no sign of Chickadees. Finally, Chickadees sighted at Cosmart in Bukit Jambul Complex, and we bought 2 packets of those chicken-flavoured snacks.

The packaging sure has changed, but can't say much of the taste - I can't barely recall the exact taste of something that I had tasted like 20 years ago, so I'll have to live with the flavour that I got yesterday The price is damn different as well - I remembered it was like 30 or 40 cents back then, but it's RM1.50 now..!!

Newer generation kids might not know Chickadees - not born early enough, but those who remember, sure to bring back your childhood memories
