Managed to test out the new gadget, the Electrolux Ergo-Rapido vacuum cleaner. After about 12 hours the first full charge, I decided to take the vacuum cleaner for a spin. There’s 2 setting that you can choose - medium and high speed - I chose medium for the length of the usage.
Being cordless, navigating the Ergo-rapido around the house was painless. Maybe a bit hard, since my floor tiles have cracks in betweens so the vacuum was moving quite erraticcally. Put the vacuum cleaner to test on an even surface and it performs like a charm.
The sound of the Ergo-rapido, at medium setting, wasn’t what I expected from a vacuum cleaner. It sounded like a soft whirr while going thru the vacuuming job. Turning it on to high (full) speed stuns Lok Noon up from his sleep - so you get the idea of the noise
Vacuum power was expected from a standard vacuum cleaner. Having easy-to-navigate hinge at the base makes vacuuming under table and chair as easy as moving the chair itself. I can literally bent the vacuum at almost 180 degrees and the vacuum cleaner is still sucking dust! Talk about the flexibility of the hinge.
The unit can be dissasembled and I can use the hand-held unit to vacuum hard-to-reach places. So you could vacuum the floor, and you saw there’s dust at one nook of the floor corner. You just remove the hand-held unit and you get a portable vacuum cleaner.
Being cordless, it uses battery to power. My only complaint so far would the battery life. At full charge and medium speed, it can goes up to 20 minutes non-stop. Turn on full speed and you’ll get less than 15 minutes. I guessed it’s more suited as a 2nd vacuum cleaner rather than replacing a main, big-ass vacuum cleaner. You can use the Ergo-rapido as your broom replacement - you don’t have to sweep floor anymore!
The review is based on my encounter with the Ergo-rapido vacuum cleaner for the past 3-4 days - I’ll see if I can get more info and update.
