I’ve seen a fair share of our local car and motorcycle number plates, with those with one alphabet and one number to those alphabet that looked like numbers, to those from Sabah & Sarawak. I thought I’ve seen most type of the number plates that ply our Malaysian road – Singapore, Thailand, and US included – until i saw this 4-wheel drive with this number plate:

Before you think the number above is some kind of Sports Toto 6D number, let me clarify that the number plate that you see is real – the picture was taken on the Penang Bridge, heading back to island when I went to my company’s other plant in Prai. I really cannot make out what state the car plate number’s from. I don’t even have a clue of what country may employ that kind of car plate numbering.
If you have seen this and know the origins of the car number plate, please don’t let me suffer in agony of wanting to know. Thank you very much.
