If you have your own domain and hosting, you should have heard about DNS Server. Never heard of it? Man, this is going to be tough :)

OK… all of us know the computers by name, like Computer 123 and Computer 124. At least, that’s how we determine and find other computers in the network anyway. But inside the computer, it only understands IP address, so Computer 123 may be 123.456.789.1 and Computer 124 probable has something like 123.456.789.2. Looks simple, but would you go around telling people “My computer name is Computer 123″ or “My computer name is 123.456.789.1″?

That’s where DNS server comes to picture. DNS stands for “Domain Name System”, and what it does is to do translation of those cryptic IP addresses into human-comprehensible names or addresses. That’s what we know DNS servers are for. But that’s just half of what DNS do. Good, independant DSN servers like CTS offers more than just DNS - they offer email security, virus & spam protection as well. True enough that Streamyx or Jaring or even your domain hosting provider may already have provided DNS server capabilities, but don’t you feel that you can use the additional security to protect your PC and data on your hosting site?
