Email security
In any organizations, email security is one of the things that always bring headaches to the IT people. People downloading emails with attachments, HTML scripts – that sorts of emails could be potential security breach. The bigger the organization, the bigger the concern and the need to get secured.
But most of the time, the concern is just not being secured, but also how the emails are used and circulated. That’s when email compliance comes in. Without proper regulatory & compliance checking, small & insignificant emails could very well turn out be disastrous as well.
Most people winced when their IT minced their potentially-hazardous attachments away. But sometimes, that’s one of the many ways to secure the office email & also overall network security. But some also have concerns that by filtering emails, their privacy may be compromised. This again, brings the importance to proper email regulatory compliance in organizations to avoid any legal complications.
Personally, i’d prefer to get all my attachments, without being filtered at all. But you can’t have it all and still expect the network to be safe, right? Because sometimes, no matter how careful you are, you could still make mistakes
