If you have been trying to access my blog on Thursday, you’d realised that all attempt to access was futile. I was fuming because all the tickets that I submitted was only responded after 2 hours (which, supposedly, should be responded within 30 minutes). Anyway, all those has passed and the reason given was:
Hello,
The server was null-routed,it is online now. Please check as all the 4 sites are working now.
Thanks for your patience ..
That’s it - and it takes the whole day to resolve. If I didn’t find out and lodge a ticket in the first place, i think this blog would still be down now.
Anyway, this year is the renewal year for my hosting. I paid for 3 yrs hosting when I first got my own domain. I don’t know whether I should continue with this hosting. I’m looking around and keeping my options open. Anybody has any suggestions at all? The hosting should be able to host at least 5 domains, and provide enough disc space & transfer rate. And also, if possible, take payment in PayPal. I’m looking to jump ship now.

1It depends. At this point, I go for the big servers. Media Temple or Dreamhost. They rarely have any problems and if they do, they resolve it before you even know or they would tell you before hand.
Compared to what a lot of Malaysian webhosts offer, they usually take the cake.

4if you want non local, media temple is better than dreamhost.
if local, go for ipserverone. i’m using it now, so far okay, 2 downtimes… today, twice.. =.=’ but i think it could be due to other reasons…
but i still trust ipserverone.

5Are you interested in my Blogasian.com hosting? US$40 for the Pro account which will allow up to 8 domains. Our server uptime is 99.7% and it’s located in the US. Do let me know if you’re interested, ok? We are currently hosting a number of Malaysians bloggers as well.

6cincauhangus - thanks. i’m looking at different providers now. i’ll decide again whether to move when the contract’s up in Nov.
andrew - looks good to me - US$40/year for 1600MB space with up to 8 domains to be hosted. definitely within my consideration - anyway, you mind sharing some of the blogs hosted with blogasian hosting? just to test the speed…
