spoiler ahead - don’t read if you do not wished to ruin your experience

I went to catch the movie 300 earlier, was rushing back from office to Queensbay Mall to catch it. With full anticipation, i went in and watch, and frankly, the 2-hour movie didn’t disappoint me at all. Anyway, I’m not going to do any review or anything close - I have just 2 options for you: If you haven’t watch it, pls do; if you have already, Leonidas rocks!

But I have a few qualms about the movie:

1. At that time of war, Greek was a very rich country. Why do their people (at least in Sparta) wear so less cloth? The kids running around topless, the guys fighting around topless (save for the cape), girls topless (yeah right!) as well.

2. Do the Persians really have those beasts at their disposals? I don’t remember seeing any genie being used, though i saw some Aladdin look-alike creatures throwing bombs. And what’s with the Japanese Samurai look-alike Immortals?

3. The Spartans fight for days - i mean, killing - and they were not even tired. They don’t drink, eat, nor bath - won’t they smell like rotten animals with all the bloods still smeared to their bodies and not washed away? By the way, i only saw Leonidas break some sweat ONLY at the end of the movie.

4. Why can’t our censorship board just don’t censor anything at all? At least I won’t missed any of the belly dancing scenes. Oh - check out the Oracle. Hot!!!

This is one movie that you would want to watch in the cinema, and then go out to get the BJ copy of the movie and watch it again - just to catch those censored parts :)
