Streamyx – on hold, Maxis – coming!

I have done it – i signed up for another broadband internet provider! I went to Maxis centre on Saturday to enquire about their broadband Internet offering. Apparently, it’s not as fast as what Streamyx claimed to be, but from what I digested, it seems to be a better deal.

To tell you the truth – if i’m a real estate agent pitching sales to my potential client, i would have recommended something else but Streamyx if the clients asking for Internet providers. Even if i’m not, i would still be recommending something else besides Streamyx. I guessed i should write “StimX” rather than the actual name, for it being so “stim” these days.

For now, I’m waiting for the Maxis installer to come. If there’s coverage, and good signal (they are using 3.5G HSDPA connection), then it’s “Bye-Bye Streamyx, Hello Maxis”. Expect another post from me on this :)

I tried Maxis broadband. the signal is strong in my area (bukit bintang) and the transmission is good (although i only use it’s 3G without HSDPA).

My friend in Sri hartamas area uses 3G with HSDPA and he said the connection is great!

Wish u have a better connection :)

SoGua – one great thing about Maxis is that you only pay for 3G package to get 3.5G speed :) that is, if your area happened to support 3.5G…

my area (Sg Dua, Penang) definitely have 3.5G, but the fact that i lived in an apartment 5 floors up…..hmmmm… still keeping my fingers crossed!
