I have just seen the Negarakuku video clip by the Malaysian student in Taiwan after hearing much huha about it. It’s just that I’m curious that I went to YouTube and search for it. I know that it’s no longer hip to talk about it anymore - but hey, that’s what i normally do - dig up old news :)

Frankly speaking, after listening to the song, i think it’s quite good. So, I seriously don’t understand why the song knocked the executive desks so hard that they threatened to sue the boy?

Personally, i think the only thing he did wrong was to modify the national anthem and made it part of his song, although, honestly - correct me if i’m wrong, I can’t find any part in the Constitution that mentioned it’s illegal to modify the National Anthem. I guessed it’s more like a respect you give to the nation.

I think the issues the boy brought up was valid. It’s real, whether you like it or not. He’s not condemning the government or any religion in particular - he’s interested in showing other people (perhaps other nations) what Malaysia is all about and how he’s proud to be a Malaysian. The fact that many different race of people lives together in harmony.

I guessed the government may have to look at bigger picture, and the politicians to understand more before condemning. Damn - will I get ISA for this? :)
