I just figured out how to earn Sigma points in Blogshares. Yes - as far as i know, for now, there’s not much use for Sigma points except for you to access some tools and also is counted towards your composite ranking score. Easiest way possible to get sigma points would be to report dead blogs. How?

Just click on Random Blogs (Blogshares -> Blogs -> Random Blogs link) and a random blog would be displayed. Just go to the blog URL and check if the last blog entry is 6 months or more from today. Or if there’s any indication that the blog author’s abandoning the blog. If the last entry was aeons ago, then great -> just click to report dead blog, and once a moderator came to verify, you’ll get 1 sigma points and 20 chips. Just rinse and repeat.

But if it’s a well-updated blog, then you could always vote to get the blog indexed into the correct industries. And you’ll get chips as well once your votes has been approved by a moderator. This way, Blogshares will have a cleaner index, and only live and active blogs will be in the game. I don’t know how much difference i’m gonna make - but at least, by doing it, i’m helping the game, and also helping myself with more perks. Hehe.

Hmm - all this work warrants me for a new LCD TV - who’s buying? Hehe
