I think i’ll never understand politics. I don’t think I’ll ever do. I don’t think i’ll ever understand why would they want to politicize something that has happpened for the longest time, and almost nobody take into consideration anymore. Hmm.. maybe that’s why i’m not into politics yet. I don’t know - i don’t think i’ll ever be.

I’m referring to the just-concluded-with-a-lot-of-mess gathering of the Hindraf. Yeah - a lot of fanfare - involves people being arrest a few days before the gathering. All because of something that was done during probably my great grandparents time. They were trying to sue the British government for the very fact that those were the people that brought them in to the-then Tanah Melayu as labourers, and manipulated them. And that makes them the poorest among the other people in Malaysia. That’s their claim. Great.

And they think they can achieve that by street demonstration? The conditions of some of the demonstrator looks like they could use alcohol rehab. I think if that’s the basis of the claim, i dare not think what would other people think and tried to claim as well. Let’s not start that here.

What I knew is, street demonstration is definitely not our thing. Yes, we are democratic, but that doesn’t mean that we can take things to the street. What’s your impression of our neighbouring countries when they had street demonstrations a while back? It gives you the impression that the country’s not save, right? I bet the same thing’s running thru the tourists’ minds who’s eye-ing on coming to Malaysia. And the government is now promoting the country to the world as a peaceful country.

Great. The demonstrators just successfuly ruin it all.
