For the first time ever, i have never heard this in my whole life. And besides, i never knew about this at all, being a Siamese (or Malaysian Thai, if you may) myself. What is that? That when Siamese people got married, the guy would be married into the girl’s family, and not the other way round. Like in Chinese, it’s the girl got married into the guy’s family.

I thought all the while, once the girl got married, it will be married into the guy’s family and not the other way round. Same thing for Chinese and Malay, and i guessed most ethnics have that kind of following. It’s like you are paying for foam mattress and bringing it home and not just leave it at the shop.

What’s more funny is that the person who told me this is not even a Siamese, and dare to argue with me, a Siamese, on grounds that she heard it from another Siamese. Yeah right. She had the nerve to say that i’m wrong and ask me to check with my parents on this. As if that’s gonna change anything. For you readers who had the same thought, you are reading it from the Siamese guy himself.
