Overheard at the all-souls day prayers for Thai people yesterday at my grandmom’s village, during the prayers:

Man on the phone: * Hang kat mana nih? Aku dalam kubur ni…. depa mai sembahyang… Hang tak mai ka?

You can literally see everybody who attended the ceremony yesterday was somehow smiling and some, laughing out loud. After the prayers, i heard people asking about what phone reception he was using to be able to get coverage inside the grave.

If i was the guy on the other side of the line, i’ll probably be feeling creepy - how can my call went into a guy in the grave? He’d probably need a lot of computer memory to store all MP3s he need for a long time…….

translation: where are you? i’m in the grave. they are here for prayers. you not coming?
