No longer regular hours
These few weeks have been very busy. First time i have to get into night calls as well. And not to mention, calls and meetings ending after 7pm. I was actually relieved to be able to leave work at 6 on one of the days 2 weeks ago – when i was doing 8am to 7pm – sometimes 8pm, that i actually told my colleagues sitting nearby me that i was actually going back at 6pm!
But the experience was well worth it – liaising with teams outside our own region (read: Europe) was not easy. Time was a big issue, although most of the time, they were the ones giving in as it’s still in the day for them (when we are already getting ready to leave office). Overall, good experience – got to really listen to what they have to say as I’m not used to their slang yet. Somehow i felt the way English speak as if they are eating something. And oh, don’t get me started on the French and the Irish. Hehe.
And because of those late work and rushing around, i actually lose weight and don’t need to look for Phenphedrine pills to help! Not sure if it’s a good thing – losing weight because of the job. Hmm…
