Flickr – should i go pro?

I have been using Flickr for a while to post my pictures. The reason i go Flickr is because Facebook image compression just sucks – i have to upload to Flickr, and put a link in my Facebook account to do my photos justice. Facebook just don’t cut it. The question now lies with Flickr – should be be flickery, pay the upgrade and make myself a Flickr Pro?

If i upgrade, that’ll mean extra USD24.95/year. That’s like almost RM100/year just to host photos. I already have my own hosting although it’s not as convenient and intuitive as Flickr. But if i look at the side of keeping my photos in Flickr as online backup, then i’m getting quite a deal as i can literally fill as many photos as i want.

And i can always change my hosting plan to a cheaper one. Ok let’s see how it goes. Need to go to bcbsnc to see if i can afford their medical plans as well.
