PayPerPost does it again – earlier it’s 1K Tuesday, and now it’s HDTV Tuesday. It’s a chance for you to write your way to a brand new HDTV at the end of this month. Some fellow posties has won PS3 & Apple TVs in the earlier weeks by being extra observant, grabbed the opp and go on blogging their way to their prizes.

This week, it’s Slingbox, Nintendo Wii, Yamaha Surround Sound System or a Logitech universal remote, and all this up for grabs starting 12am US time. I don’t know whether I’ll be lucky enough to get any of the opps, or even to just caught a glimpse of the opps. But then again, i’d probably have a problem if I really managed to grab one of the opps and got one of the prizes – the cost of delivery back to Malaysia!

But do I look like I care? I’m just going to grab any opps that comes my way, and write my hearts out if I managed to get one of those. I’m not going to just hope. I’m going to grab one today! Let’s just pray and let’s hope Malaysians get lucky this time round. Malaysia Boleh!

Mother’s day is coming again. It’s the time of the year again where shops start having their Mother’s Day special sales. And what better business to be ventured into this season than selling Mother’s Day flowers? People around the world seems to like flower so much, that florist around the world hike the price of flowers, especially rose & lily, up during this period and make tonnes of money.

But that’s just business – when there’s more demand than supply, definitely the price will go up. Anyway you look at it, people will still buy flowers to give to their mother on Mother’s day. I’ll buy flower for my mom – it’s just that I won’t buy it during this occasion. I’d rather wait till it’s about 1 week after, and then go and buy the flowers for my mom. That way, i still have her blessing, and still save some money. Talk about economics!

There’s this saying that everybody in the customer relationship field subscribe to: Customer is the King, and they are always right. If you can manage your customer right, you’ll get customer satisfaction, repeat sales, and future prospects by recommendation. In order to do that, you must have a proper customer relationship management package.

AIMpromote is one such package in the market that you can use to maintain your customer information. It’s focuses on ease of use so that you’ll get to focus on making more sales than to actually learn how to use the software. Besides, there’s a 14-days full-featured free trials for you to try out before deciding on whether to use it in your company.

Whatever it is, without proper customer relationship management system, your sales is as good as none.

I’ve got my new toy – Axim X51v – and now I want a new cell phone! And of course, what better way to get a new cell phone than getting a free one? I don’t mind any phone at all – Motorola Razr range looks kinda cool as well.

But why would i want a normal cell phone when I can get a Blackberry for free as well? Oh yes – not only normal phones are given – smartphones and Blackberry are up for grabs too!

See my point here? Each time you sign up for new cell phone contract, you get a free phone. And those free phones are not crappy ones – you could get one of those cool phones above. Seriously, the deal is getting better and better, day by day, that the ones smiling at the end of day are the customers. I really wonder what kind of margin these cell phone service providers are playing with.

In Malaysia, we have those promotions as well – free cell phones with every new service contracts – but most of the time, the phones given away are some crappy, outdated phones. The phones given are normally the ones you wouldn’t want to be associated with. I’m still waiting for the cell phone service providers in Malaysia to be more like their US counterparts in promotion – at least i can say that I’m proud to be subscribed to any particular service provider.

But then again, if every service providers have that here, i would foresee another problem – people keep changing service providers every now and then to get new phones. I foresee myself doing that also – if the free phones on offer are worth the hassle of changing service providers. Hello Maxis, Celcom & Digi – when are you guys gonna follow the footsteps of Wirefly???

Teens. We all have been there before. It’s either you like them, or hate them. If they are likeable (weren’t you?), then it’s fine. But if they always managed to get themselves in whatever mess possible, then it’s probably time to see what can we do to help. It is, of course, to avoid the problem altogether, but that’s not what responsible adults do.

There’s always teen help for troubled teens available around. Support and help groups for troubled teens are always around the corner, and open for any consultations at all. If you are in the US, you could always try the number below:

They offer help for troubled teens that have problems with drugs, health or education. The teens don’t always have to bear it all by themselves; we as adults too have to jump in and provide helps as needed. Sometimes, all they need is just someone who would listen to them, and someone to look up to.

If we could show that we care, and we listened to them, half the battle of understanding the troubled teens have been won. If the parents can’t deal with the problem themselves, seek professionals help. ParentingTeens.com will always be there for the parents, and the troubled teens themselves.

I have always wanted to further my studies. I would really loved to do my Masters degree. The only problem that stops me from pursuing higher education is the time – i’m currently working full time!

Working full time and studying at the same time would be something that I never liked to do. If you asked me to work part time while studying full time, that would probably be something that I would think about. But who’s gonna pay me the same pay (working part time) that I got now by working part time?

I’m still looking for alternative to further my studies. Maybe i’ll just go for a short 6-months degree. Maybe i’ll just quit my job completely and be a cashless student. Or i could just do both

But who else lived in the past now, when we have home broadband, offering at least 512kbps (that’s 10 times 56kbps modem) connection? And the best part is, you no longer pay by hour like before – you just pay a single amount per month for unlimited usage.

If you are still using dialup, you are losing a lot, especially if you are doing paid posts like PayPerPost – dialup is just too slow – broadband is the way to go!

I never much bothered about what the bank charges while doing any transactions. I always thought that the charges is the price of conveniences i have to pay. But thinking back, does it really convenience me?

These days, banks are charging it’s customers basically when you want to do anything with them – monthly fee for maintaining current accounts, deposits for opening savings accounts, fee for giro transfers, late payments – the banks are literally making money off the air.

Some of the banks i know even charges customer for depositing money through the counter if the amount is less than some pre-fixed amount. It’s ridiculous – if you want to save some money, go use the machine, else, you’ll have to pay some commission. Errm….ain’t the bank tellers were hired to serve customers, whom main purpose is to save money with the bank? I think I’m getting a little bit confused here.

For now, my investments are pretty much in only 2 places – stock market, and unit trust. I don’t have any other investments for now, unless you are considering my recent purchase of apartment sort of an investment. Besides that, i only keep some money in the bank for emergencies, and also the money in Employee Provident Fund. I’m reading up more books on investments – especially stock, global futures & forex trading, but it’s still too early to say anything for now.

As with any investments, there is always risk of loss trading Futures, options and forex, so invest cafefully!

Do you ever have any concerns that people would be reading your emails behind your back? Do you ever worry about that IT guy in the IT server room, scouring thru your private emails? Do you ever worry that people would be able to access to your sensitive datas on your thumbdrive (if you lost or misplaced it) or on your computer? Worry no more.

SecureZIP – The next generation of ZIP, is the security software to have. It provides security on email messages & attachments, as well as your data on the hard drives of your notebook, desktop or PDA, while at the same time, saving space with it’s ZIP ability. It provides the security level strong enough to give any security application a run for it’s money. And did I mention it’s free?

Private data should remain private, and that means that it should only remain visible to the owner. Nobody else should have access to your personal data. With that, you’ll need the help of SecureZIP. For free downloads, point your mouse over to www.securezip.com. Say hello to new world of (secured) freedom!
