22 days to go. Which means about 3 weeks. Excited? Yes. Scared. Yes also. Let’s just say that i have all the different feelings mixed together. Sometimes, just thinking about it gives me goosebumps. Good thing - i guessed, as it shows that i’m just human after all. Been thinking a lot how would the baby come out and greet the world. How would the baby look like? All those stuffs.

Been busy with the preparation for the baby’s arrival. Got most of the stuffs ready already - except perhaps for the baby cot which we’ll wait a while more to get it. So practically now, i’m just getting ready to be a dad. Hehe - easy or not that’s another story. I won’t know if i’m going to be a good dad, but i’ll make sure i won’t be a bad one.

Hopefully the baby will bring joy to our life, and also more luck to my career as well. Heh - let’s just wait and see. Now i think i’ve got to take up sales manager jobs to supplement my income so that i can pay up some of the bills.

Here i am still sitting in front of the tv watching the Olympic 2008 opening. I am actually amazed with the earlier portion of the opening ceremony, where they have this show showing the history of China. And the chicks - oh the chicks are just splendid. No wonder they spend a lot of time interviewing the candidates for the country plaque bearers and the performers.

Most of the time, i don’t even know what’s the language that they used for the announcement - because most of the time the voice of Hasbullah Awang (i’m watching TV1) overpower the announcements. I sometimes wished he should have just kept his mouth shut and let us enjoy the show without any commentaries.

And all the while watching the show, i’m sitting on the floor. I need to get home theater sconces for better seating.

Probably there’s no timestamp on the blog post, but if there is, you’ll know that i’m writing this post at 2.30am. No - i’m not up playing Orlando golf or something, but i simply couldn’t sleep. I don’t know why - the weather is simply too hot that even the fan at full speed and shirt’s off also cannot help make me sleep.

So what do i do now? Well - with Internet, i hope i can just surf around until i finally got tired and eventually, sleep. Or i could just stay awake the whole night and sleep in the morning - and i wished i could do this. Damn it - it’s Monday and i have to wake up for work tomorrow!

Maybe i’ll just login into my Facebook and see what i can do there to tire me down. Damn.

I went around searching for baby car seats information online and managed to find this site that has quite a lot of info and the price references for the different brands available.

There’s many different type and brands of infant car seats available on the site, with multiple online stores recommendation to check out from. While i would say that my pocket wouldn’t agree with the prices quoted there (prices quoted in Pound Sterling), but i have to admit that it somehow open up my eyes to other brands available in the market.

With the car seats information in mind, i know what to look for in my shopping trip for the car seat. I’ll make sure that my baby only get the best that i can get for them.

These days nothing much happened except counting down, counting down and more counting down to the day where the baby will come out and say hello to the world. Also looking for baby product fair and promotions and topping up on what we haven’t got yet. For now, we have got most of the things, except some items like the baby car seats, stroller and the baby cot. Still shopping and looking around.

Never know that looking for infant car seats can be that hard - while the choices are there, some of it are hardly quality enough. Besides, some of them are just simply too much of a hassle to fix and remove from the car. I’m looking at one that can be easily fix, remove and carry around - preferably with a base that’s permanently fixed in the car and just need to click the carrier on.

The best would be the car seats that’s able to be fixed into strollers in a click, and can also be used with the base fixed in the car. For now, i already have a few in mind - the problem is they don’t come cheap. And the brand that i’d like to get got limited stocks in Penang. Got to look for sponsors - any taker? Hehehe…

So i have finally made most of the customizations and kinda pleased with what i see. I just need a Bluetooth headset to shut me off from other distractions and just process the photos. Hmm..

Hosting. It’s all about hosting, especially if you host your own blogs or websites using your own domain. You need some place to host all your files and to display those blog scripts to the world to see. But what do you look in web hosting to determine that you are getting what you are paying for?

I was webhost shopping a while back, and manage to gather some info on the available web hosting companies available. Fat Jack Hosting was one of the many that i looked at that offered competitive package and price. Shared hosting from US$4.97/month, VPS hosting from US$49/month - looks promising with the package given as well.

The loading time at Fat Jack Hosting was not bad. With that price and package, i may consider them when i’m shopping for web host again in 1 year time. Let’s just see.

With the baby in about 2 months time, there’s a lot to be prepared and to be considered as well. Most of the basic baby necessities have been bought. For now, it’s to consider about other things besides the clothings and the necessities.

Cord blood banking is one of the things to consider. I read up multiple sources on the Internet about cord blood banking. Basically, it’s the blood taken from the baby’s umbilical cord right after birth, and it’s rich in stem cells which could be used to treat many diseases. While there’s still many researches going on around stem cells treatment, many companies have been going around asking the potential parents to keep the babies cord blood privately with them.

Many articles on the Internet (written mainly by those in the USA) recommends and all for cord blood banking, but most (if not all) are not really in favour of the private cord blood banking. All are supportive of public cord blood banks (with the view of the medical technology enhancements), and views the private ones as mere marketing gimmick to induce fear among parents as donors (read: babies) don’t really get to use their own cord blood, but rather mostly being used by the siblings.

Personally, both my wife and I don’t have any serious medical conditions that may require the need of the stem cell transplant (at least, that’s what we know of for now). Personally, i see that there’s future for stem cell researches being able to treat more serious illness and diseases. Question is - should i keep my baby’s cord blood privately, or donate it to the national public cord blood bank? There’s none in Penang, and i’m not sure if the General Hospital in KL (where the Malaysia public cord blood bank is located) will fly over to Penang to collect it.

Decisions… decisions. I thought learning about gps tracking was already hard enough. Hmm….

I just did something that i never thought i would do. Well, at least not for a few months back. Yeah - i donated a whole load of money. Well, not real money anyway, but Blogshares money. How much did i donate? B$ 5 trillion - that’ll be B$5,000,000,000,000.00 and i got listed under it’s Hall of Fame

Well - how much is that in real money? Let’s see - at current rate, B$12,300,000,000,000 (read: B$12.3 trillion) worth of chips (about 15k chips) can be exchange for 1 year of premium membership, which goes for US$15/year. Yeah - probably not enough to be horse supplies also, but what the heck, i did give something back to the game.

First it was declared, then it was retracted. And what’s with all this statutory declarations these days? Apparently, these days people are brandishing statutory declarations like nobody’s business. And also, what’s happening with the politicians these days? Don’t they have a job to do? Oh wait… talking cock IS their job - all politicians are the same, government or opposition.

That’s why i don’t think i’ll ever join politics, and rather be opening shops selling diet pills and earn more money that way. I almost got into politics once upon a time while i was still in the Uni. That time, i was still young. Hehe… I guessed i was almost being manipulated as well - i decided i had enough and just left.
